Privacy Policy

    • At certain points in the SMEClabs website navigation, you may be asked to share your email address or other personal identifying information with us. As provided in these Terms and Conditions, such information will never be distributed to a third party and it will never be publicly visible without your express written consent.
    • Your email address will only be used to send you the SMEClabs.com or smeclabs.ac.in newsletter and/or to alert you to any information that you have specifically requested you be notified about.
    • This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes how we collect, use, update, delete and share information about our users (hereinafter referred to as “User”, “you” or “your”) through our Platform. Please review our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy (collectively referred to as the “Terms”) that govern the use of the Platform and the Programs. This Privacy Policy shall form a part of the Terms by way of reference. All capitalised terms not defined in this Privacy Policy have the respective meanings set forth in the Terms of Use. This Privacy Policy applies only to the part of the Platform provided by SMEClabs, and we are not responsible for the practices of persons, companies, institutions or websites that SMEClabs does not control, manage or employ.
    • User shall mean and include any individual or group, who visits, uses, deals with and/or transacts through the Website and includes a guest user and browser. In circumstances where the User is less than 18 years of age, consent from the legal guardian shall be required and it is advised that this policy be read in the presence of the legal guardian.
    • Our Platform’s could be used without revealing any personal information, though for features or services related support to the Programs we offer, personal information is required for better service and support. Unless you do not use these specific features or services on the Platform, the only information we collect will be “Non-Personal Information”. Such information cannot be used to identify you.
    • Non-Personal Information includes information like the web pages that you have viewed. In order to access certain service features and benefits on our Platform, you may need to submit Personally Identifiable Information – such information that can be used to identify you. Personally Identifiable Information, is information about you, but not be limited to, information such as your name, email address, contact number (mobile phone and landline), educational qualifications, Aadhaar number, PAN, social security and tax identification numbers, and post-qualification or work experience among other things of which some are for corporate clients.
    • You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the Personally Identifiable Information you submit to SMEClabs. Inaccurate information may affect your ability to use our Services in the Platform, the information you receive when using the Platform, and our ability to reach out to you for hassle free service and support. For example, your email address and contact number should be kept valid because these are the primary channels through which we communicate with you.
    • During your visit, our web operating system will record:
    • The Internet domain for your Internet service, such as “.com” or “.net” if you use a private Internet access account, or “.edu”, “ac.in”, “.edu.in” if you connect from a college or university domain.
    • The type of browser you use, such as “Netscape version detail” or “Internet Explorer version detail” that you are using to browser our pages.
    • The type of operating system that you use, such as Macintosh, Unix, or Windows.
    • The date and time you visit our site and the web pages that you visit on our site.
    • The address of the previous website you were visiting, if you linked to us from another website.
    • We use this information for statistical analysis, to help us make our site more useful to visitors. This tracking system does not record information about individuals.

Cookies

  • On certain SMEClabs pages, we use “cookies” to help you use our websites interactively. A cookie is a small file that any website can transfer to your computer’s hard disk, usually to keep track of you while you are connected to that respective website.
  • The cookies do not collect information about you, but only about your browser session. The cookie makes it easier for you to use the dynamic features of a web page, without having to provide the same information again and repeatedly as you move from one page to another and keep switching.

Information Collected from Interactive Forms

On some of our web pages we offer interactive forms that let you voluntarily submit personal information, such as your e-mail address, name, qualification or organization. This occurs when you are registering for online counselling, various tests, quizzes, seminars, workshops, or training sessions offered by SMEClabs, downloading or filling admission and registration forms from SMEClabs, certificate request, daily attendance and feedback. In those cases, all submitted information is used only for the purposes for which it is intended and is not made available to any third party.

Links to other Sites

Our policy discloses the privacy practices for the SMEClabs website, but SMEClabs provides links to other websites as well. When you leave or get redirected from the SMEClabs website (www.smeclabs.com), you will be going to sites that are beyond our control. These other sites may send their own cookies to users, collect data, or solicit personal information. The privacy policies and procedures described here for SMEClabs do not apply to any external links. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any site you link to from ours, especially if you share any personal information. Be aware that you are the only person best qualified to protect your own privacy.

Your Email address and Mobile number

We may store the email addresses, mobile numbers of those who communicate with us via email, mobile, chat or who have shown interest in our Programs and add them to our mailing/SMS/call list when you sign up to receive special promotions and updates.

Opting Out

  • If you are a registered user and wish to change your preferences, or if you prefer to opt out of regular mail/SMS/calls, you may mail us at [email protected] notify us of your request.
  • Once you have submitted your request to opt-out, you may assume that it has been successfully received and is being processed. Please allow us 30 business days from when the request was received to complete the removal, as some of our promotions may already have been in process before you submitted your request. Getting unsubscribed from the communication services doesn’t necessarily mean that the information being collected will be deleted.
  • If you refuse or withdraw your consent, or if you choose not to provide us with any required Personally Identifiable Information, we may not be able to provide you the services that can be offered on our Platform.

Changing our Privacy Policy

This Policy is subject to change from time to time and shall be uploaded on our Platform for your reference. Any changes to this Privacy Policy will be effective immediately upon being posted on this page. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy forms part of our Terms of Use and is governed in accordance with the laws in Kerala, India.

Miscellaneous Provisions

The miscellaneous provisions provided in our Terms of Use shall apply to this Privacy Policy as well.
